Weekend Warriors #1 Results
I think I’m a Weekend Warrior. I didn’t have quite the amazing success I wanted, but I did pretty well, overall.
This is what I pledged to do.
1. Complete two full one-hour workouts, one of which must be in the weight room.
2. Track every single morsel of food eaten and not eat over my caloric daily limit.
3. In addition to two workouts, go for a nice, long walk.
I did get two one hour workouts in. However, neither was in the weight room. I did an hour of taekwondo on Saturday and an hour on the elliptical on Sunday. I’m very pleased with both, but I didn’t do weights either day.
I did track everything I ate, and I didn’t do horrible on my food. However, I will admit… This jumped up and grabbed me on Saturday.
I ate it. Don’t know why, but I did. God, it was so good. I know some people are grossed out by the fake egg filling, but I find it the most delicious treat ever, second only to chocolate covered cherries at Christmas.
And I did make it on the nice, long walk. My pedometer read about 13,000 steps on Sunday, which is over my usual 10,000.
As far as my weight… I weighed in at 339, which is less than Friday. I’ll be honest; I really expected to have lost more after two days of eating pretty clean. Oh well. I still have ’til Friday for it to be official.
In other news, don’t forget about my giveaway for Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred!

That may be the problem Jeremy..we don’t know why we eat the things we do, we just do.
Now we have to figure out the why and then exchange those foods for healthier stuff!
Definitely true. And frequently, it’s just a matter of weakness because I’d rather have the taste of something and I’ll deal with the consequences later. Not the smartest thing to do.
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Cadbury Cream eggs myself, so I know exactly how you feel – they can be quite intoxicating. But overall it sounds like you had a pretty good weekend – nice work!
Greatest candy known to man. And I’m pretty pleased. I hope the one for April goes even better!
Good work! Aren’t eggs good for you?!
May 8th is my first 5k race. I have a countdown on the right side of my page…on another note — does my comments page give an option to get comments via email after you post? Thanks.
Keep up the good work Jeremy!
I had never even noticed that countdown timer. I think I had already read past that point when it finished loading.
And yes, the comments email link shows up.
OMG finally a “sweet” That I don’t like! CALL GUINESS RECORDS! Those things are naasssty!
Now, Reese Eggs….omgillkillyaoverone!
Sounds like you did good on the challenge! (standing ovation) Go go go!
Don’t worry about the stupid scale. I didn’t weigh this morning on purpose…I don’t think I’ll see benefits after just a few days of being more intense on the wagon. Now, come Thursday, if I don’t see results, I may cry a little–or a lot.
Well, chocolate and peanut butter are always good together.
Still… I love that eggy gunk (which actually does have real egg in it).
Congratulations on the loss !!
And what is it about those stupid eggs ?? I am not a sweets person, but in the past I would eat those stupid things mainly because I was fascinated by how they managed to manufacture the center. I know how nougat is made in candy, but how the two colors stayed separate fascinated me. I would crack them open, stare, eat and repeat. Then they had to come out with those stupid caramel filled ones , and…..( then followed the Snickers Eggs and so many others). Nature intervened for me though- I started to develop SERIOUS heartburn from milk chocolate, and I broke up with them. Now I can only eat dark chocolate, and thankfully none of the Easter candy is made with the right kind of dark chocolate ( it has to be at least 75 percent cocoa or I am on fire in a not so good way)
I prefer dark chocolate myself. A dark chocolate Cadbury Egg would definitely be worth trying. The Snickers eggs are good, too, but I think I prefer the original.
I’m with Craig – ICK on the Cadbury eggs, but I’ll kill ya (in your sleep) for a Reese’s egg…I was wondering how Cadbury pertained to motivational posters, though.
You did a kickass job this weekend, so kudos to you, man!
Reese’s in ANY form is good. I even like Reese’s pieces… they should make a Reese’s peanut butter cup with Reese’s pieces in the peanut butter filling. That would be good.
I can’t wait to hear how much more you will lose on Friday! You are going to do great at weigh in
Thanks! I certainly hope so. I hope I’m at least on track to be back where I was before my head cold last week.
Hey Jeremy,
You are solid. Keeping all your goals out in front of you makes a big difference. Being easy on yourself is a BIG DEAL in the event you stumble. I love those cream eggs and I am working hard at the moment to forget the pictures of them on your web page.
Thanks for the kind words.
I like having my goals written down; seems to make me feel more accountable, even if they are written down on a blog.
Good job on the workouts. And I like that you are including a long walk on your pledge. I think walks are so beneficial for body and soul…
Now, I’ve grown to love chocolate as I got older (I used to hate it when I was younger but now love it; strange, I know), but I’ll never understand how anyone can eat those eggs…
Anyway, it sounds you did well overall! Good job!
Those eggs are pure heaven.
And I’m definitely with you on the walks. Almost to the point that while I enjoy walks, I don’t quite consider it exercise. Isn’t exercise supposed to be painful?
Those easter creme eggs are insane. I love them soooo much and they are the most addictive pleasure EVER! I am not exaggerating when I say that I ate 4 to 5 of those EVERY day last year for a month before Easter. Maybe it’s the way you have to bite it, then lick out the center, then eat the rest of the chocolate shell, that’s how I eat them! I have not touched one this year because they are so addictive!!! Now my mouth is watering…
Yeah, that’s the way I eat them, too. And now I’m wanting one as well.
Those eggs would have popped themselves right into my mouth without any help from me! I absolutely LOVE them! I can’t resist them!
Great job on the workouts you got in. Every bit helps.
I’ve definitely found in these comments that people either LOVE them or HATE them. There doesn’t seem to be much of an in-between.
For me, it is better if I just keep them completely away, because they are not a food I can ration out.
