My Second Giveaway
I have never taken a photo of myself in the mirror with a cell phone, and I don’t plan to get into the habit of it because I am neither a 14-year-old emo kid on myspace nor a douchebag. However, Tina is not home, and I wanted to take a photo of myself after my first taekwondo class in literally months.
I was honestly nervous going in to it. I was really surprised by that; I have taken classes at this school for years. I’m going on four years there. However, I was so rusty, I felt like a green belt walking out onto the mats today.
However, it was the most fun I have had working out in a LONG time. It was a pretty simple workout, and we didn’t spar today, but it was still so much fun. I’m sure we’ll spar next week, and I guarantee I’ll feel rusty again, but I have made the first step back and I am so happy about it!
Meanwhile, while I’m here, I’m going to post my second giveaway! I had planned to wait ’til tomorrow, but I’m going to go ahead and do it now because that $14 is burning a hole in my pocket.

But this is something I’ve read about on several blogs, but I have not yet used this item myself. I want to, for two reasons, which I’ll explain as soon as I tell you what the item is.
As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, Jillian Michaels is one of my five freebies, so I’m interested in anything she does. And two, I’ve heard this DVD workout will kick your tail. I’m typically not big on video workouts anymore, now that I have a gym, but there are times that it would be nice to have a video here at the house that could give me an intense workout. (All I have are Sweatin’ to the Oldies, and those don’t really challenge me anymore.)

The most intense workout that I do on a regular basis is Basketball every sunday and wednesday night. I am usually pretty worn out afterward but if I don’t hit my mile goal for the day…i go get on the treadmill afterward, which makes me even more tired.

My most intense workout(s) are my weight lifting sessions with my trainer on Monday and Friday morning, but mile mile repeats every other Thursday are also pretty darn tough!

My most intense workouts are when I do more jogging/running intervals on the treadmill instead of my usual “fast walks”…for bonus points if I do squats/situps afterwards that really bumps it up!

The most intense workouts I do on a regular basis vary from week to week. Some weeks “Sweatshop” with Linda kicks my butt, sometimes it is “Total Body Workout”, lately the new “Zumba” routines are also pretty intense with all the jumping we do and sometimes it is just 2 and a half hours on the eliptical.
I walk. Not Sunday-in-the-park strolling, but fast walking. Just recently got Denise’s Daily Dozen & I’m working my way through that.

By far, my kickboxing class. It’s intense and includes a lot more than just kickboxing. On any given night we’ll do ab work, calisthenics, etc and yes, a lot of kickboxing. It’s fast, it’s intense, and I believe it’s responsible for my continued weight loss! I love it!
Nice pic too…one of my goals this year is to take a martial art. It had to be put on hold due to finances and time constraints, but yeah, I’m looking forward to it!
