My First Giveaway!
I have decided to do my first giveaway on Valentine’s Day!
Granted, I have only accumulated $3 for giveaways in my $5 Weekly Goals, but this one is totally on me.
Also, I have this sitting in my house, I know that I’m not going to use it, and I hate to see stuff going to waste.
This giveaway is for a product called Carbquik.
It is basically a flour substitute that is extremely low in carbs, high in fiber, and can be used in a variety of different recipes. So far, I’ve made pizza, biscuits, and cookies with it, and the end result isn’t bad. (The cookies were my favorite so far, and that’s what I’m going to make with my leftover Carbquik from my box.)
I bought two boxes which, with shipping, was $30. This isn’t an especially cheap product.
However, I’m trying to eat a more clean diet, and while there are times I want to eat fewer carbs, I think I’m just going to give up my carbs rather than look for a replacement. Thus, I have an unopened, fresh box of Carbquik sitting in my house, and I would rather one of you have it. (Future giveaways will likely be more along the lines of fitness rather than food products, but I’m excited to get my giveaways going, so here we are.)
The contest will run until Thursday night, February 18th. It is open to anyone, anywhere, which means I’ll ship this Carbquik anywhere in the world. To enter, just submit a comment that answers this question. (Also, please feel free to share news of this giveaway to anyone!)

What is one food that you cannot give up entirely, healthy eating or no healthy eating?
GUACAMOLE!!! I used to have chips ‘n guac almost every night! The guac itself isn’t horrible for you, but all those tortilla chips, man I could pack those away (still can – I don’t buy them very often anymore!). Now, I get my guac in the morning – my new favorite brekkie is to poach an egg, toast a sandwich thin, and spread a tablespoon of guac on the toast. It might sound weird, but it is soooooo damn good!

That’s so funny that Erin said Guac because I was going to say Avavado but instead I will say bread. I’ve tried going the all lettuce wrap route and there is just no substitute for a good fresh piece of bread.

John – I was in the vegetable/fruit section of teh store and saw an avocado just sitting there in its bin. I knew that you ate them everyday and so I bought one. It’s outer shell totally has intimidated me and I still have yet to eat it. I don’t even know how to prepare it. It’s probably gone bad by now….Help!
I would have to say I can’t live without pizza. I am so glad I found the tortilla pizza recipe in the Biggest Loser cookbook. Now I don’t have to feel like I am depriving myself. If anyone is intereted I posted the recipe under the “Recipe” tab of this website.
animal crackers. I have some every morning when I first wake up as I’m checking emails, weather, etc and before I get ready for work. It’s my stupid thing i eat daily!

Whoa did you see me twinge just saying that? I can cut back but I will seriously punch someone in the neck if they try to suggest giving it up. You know like when you try to take food away from a baby kitten, it gets all growly and hisses at you…totally me right there!

I can’t give up large cakes slices!!! Afterall, every day is NOT a cake day. Heck, not even every week…or month. So I say eat the large cake slice when opportunity knocks. And you know it’s a-knockin’ right?
This carb quick looks interesting. I watch my whole family eat pancakes every Saturday. And I have none.

I absolutely LOVE chicken. love it. love it. love it. I’ve eaten cold chicken for breakfast. Give me chicken…or at least something that tastes like it
